Darryl Arrington’s childhood was filled with hardened blacktops, hyperactive curiosity, and go-go music. After spending many years as an information technology manager, a sensed lack of fulfilment, and a compelling concern for the mentally ill and the homeless led him to enter the mental health field as a counselor. Darryl has provided clinical and administrative oversight at large resident treatment facilities, organizing staff and programs to help troubled souls to rebuild their lives.
Dr. Arrington is also very active in supporting the interests and care of survivors of human trafficking. He has maintained robust activity in private practice with individuals and couples, facilitated care at national conferences, and provided consultation to churches and NPOs. He also presents to organizations on several subjects, including relationships and intimacy, trauma recovery, and the application of clinical care in the faith community.
Over the years since a humble beginning, Darryl has acquired a seminary degree and extensive training in several mental health disciplines. He has been a workplace Bible Study leader, a graduate school professor, and a workshop facilitator. He enjoys providing compelling content to new audiences.
Dr. Arrington conducts interviews virtually and in-person. Inquiries about interviews, speaking events, or presentations to organizations should be directed to info@darrylarringtonphd.com.
